Artistic Journey Overview
RINA LYAMPE
Rina Lyampe, a native of Moscow, Russia, began drawing and painting in early childhood, with many of those early images continuing to influence her work today.
At the age of ten, she was selected for an intensive five-year program within the Russian academic system, where she studied art history, explored the Old Masters, and developed strong technical skills. She later earned admission to a competitive College of Fine Arts, where she was part of a dynamic and intellectually engaging artistic community.
After graduating, Rina taught at the People’s University of Moscow. Her work from this period reflects the emotional weight of life under a totalitarian regime, often characterized by conflict, drama, and introspection.
Following her immigration to the United States, her artistic voice evolved. Inspired by American culture, her palette shifted, introducing new energy and perspective into her work.
Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries including Moross Art Studio (Santa Monica), Goldman Gallery (New York), and Ruben Bore & Son Art Gallery (Long Island). In addition to her fine art, she has worked as an illustrator for several publishing houses and contributed stamp designs commissioned by countries around the world.
For Rina, art remains a powerful form of self-expression and discovery—each piece a continuation of her personal and creative journey.
